FAQ

Have a question?

Chances are, someone has asked it already. We’ve composed a list of frequently asked questions, we hope you find what you’re looking for below.

Do I have to assemble the equipment I buy?

Our units come assembled, set up, fueled and tested. If you prefer, select battery powered units are available sealed in the box, unassembled.

Do you sell used outdoor power equipment?

We’ll occasionally take used equipment in on trade and then give it a thorough inspection to ensure it meets our standards before offering it up for resale. The result is a reliable piece of equipment at a more affordable price point.

Do you stock parts for the products you sell?

We stock a large quantity of repair parts and consumable items. If we do not have a part in stock we can order it in.

How can I help find the right part for my equipment?

To help us find the right part for your particular piece of equipment, we’ll need its make, model and serial number. If possible, please bring along the owner’s manual, as these have parts breakdowns listed in them. Bringing in the part itself will not be sufficient to find the proper replacement. If you are looking for an engine part, we will need the model and serial number from the engine itself.

How do I find the engine number?

This number can often be found imprinted in the metal of the engine.
It may be on the side of the engine, on the cooling shroud, or stamped into the valve cover. This can be confused with the emissions sticker on the engine.

Can I return parts?

Unopened new parts in original packaging can be returned within 7 days with receipt. A 15% restocking fee will be charged on returns.

There are no returns on special orders or electrical parts.

How do I find the right chain for my chainsaw?

The 3 required specifications are usually engraved on the guide bar itself. They are the pitch, gauge, and length. Chain pitch is the distance between the rivets holding the chain together. This is usually ⅜” or .325”. The gauge is the thickness of the drive links that run in the groove in the guide bar. This can be 0.043” (1.1mm), 0.050” (1.3mm), 0.058” (1.5mm) or 0.063” (1.6mm). Chain length is the number of drive links in the loop of chain.

Bringing the model number of the chainsaw and bar length isn’t enough, since some chainsaw models can be equipped with 4 or more different sizes of chain.

Bringing in the old chain or box it came in is very helpful.

Do you do warranty work?

We are authorized to perform warranty service on Stihl, Husqvarna, Toro, Bercomac, Kohler, Kawasaki Engines, and Briggs & Stratton.

Regular or premium gas?

We recommend fresh, premium fuel for all small engines. Premium fuel is your best chance to ensure you get gas without ethanol. Ethanol attracts moisture from the air and will bond with water, causing ethanol-blended gas to “expire” within 30-60 days of purchase. The ethanol/water mix is corrosive and can damage fuel pumps, fuel lines, and carburetors, and can leave scale and varnish that will block ports in the carburetor, making engines run roughly or not at all.

Do you offer financing?

We have financing available through a third-party lender on qualifying lawn mowers and snow blowers.

Used Equipment

We only sell quality used equipment, mostly trade-ins. All used equipment gets a full inspection and tune up.
